for English Learners" book. The book is specifically geared towards the elementary level and includes updated research
from the original SIOP book. The book includes new vignettes of effective instruction with each of the SIOP components in
addition to a cd-rom with effective ELD lessons at the elementary level in various content areas. One added resource to this
book that is not included in the original book is the section on English learners who are struggling readers as well as a

This book is an extension to the other SIOP books and focuses exclusively
on teaching English language development (ELD) and mathematics in a simultaneous manner. The book includes SIOP lesson plans
for math in various grade level spans from kindergarten to the twelfth grade. The book also includes a discussion on comprehensive
units based on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The book is helpful for teachers of English learners, but
the resources and information can be useful to all students, including native-English-speaking students who are learning math.
